"Flooding and tornado damage to the El Dorado, Kansas area has been significant in the past few years. While a great deal of assistance has been given to those suffering overwhelming losses, the lingering impacts on homes that were only slightly damaged or in need of minor repairs have not been addressed. Many low-income families, who were already struggling, have had to put off minor but necessary home repairs. Without care, these minor problems could deteriorate into much more costly repairs and could even become dangerous."

sorry for the three months in between posts... i failed to write down the username and password the first time... thus taking three months of trying what they could be, and failing (over and over).

first and foremost, i want to update you on the Earthquake in Haiti that took place January 12, 2010.

Who's Doing What?

Numana Inc.

Numana hosted emergency packing parties immediately after the earthquake. Three months later, they continue to go around the United States hosting packing parties for those in Haiti. They've sent millions of bags of food to Haiti since the earthquake.

Covenant World Missions

Having more than one million dollars donated to the Haiti Earthquake Relief fund with Covenant World Relief, along with that, they've sent hundreds of medical professionals and support teams to Haiti. They continue to send water, food, medical supplies and hygiene kits.

Not only can you donate money to a Haiti fund through Samaritan's Purse, but you can also buy a benefit CD, 'Healing 4 Haiti'. Featuring: Israel Houghton, The Afters, DecembeRadio, Kari Jobe, Hawk Nelson, Flyleaf, Lacrae, Canton Jones, Mary Mary, Lincoln Brewster and so many more artists! The album is available on iTunes and by CD. A minimum of $5.00 per copy sold will be donated to the Haiti Relief fund.

Numana Packing Party!

"No More Mud-cakes for Haiti" Packaging Event will be held December 29-30, 2009, at the El Dorado Civic Center, 201 E. Central, El Dorado, KS!
Shifts are two-hours long and begin at 9 AM and end at 8 PM each day.

Operation Christmas Child 2009

Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse, was once again a success for Hope Covenant! This being our 5th year, we made a record number of boxes! Thanks to everyone who participated!

We filled 92 complete boxes this year, and had TONS of filler items that we were able to send to the Processing Center, for incomplete boxes.

Our boxes went to the Denver Processing Center this year, and will be distributed in South America!
